Please review the licensing provisions, installation notices, and limitation of warranty terms governing your use of Cyronix OS and its associated software packages.
1. Open Source & Licensing
Cyronix OS is comprised of multiple distinct software layers with their own licenses:
- Linux Kernel: Licensed under GNU General Public License v2 (GPL-2.0). Source available upon request in compliance with GPL requirements.
- Android Platform: AOSP base components licensed under Apache License 2.0.
- Cyronix Bespoke Applications: Security Center, Diagnostics, and custom UI modules are licensed by Cyronix Dev & Security for individual and community non-commercial use.
- Vendor Proprietary Blobs: Qualcomm MSM8996 board support binaries are proprietary to their respective chip vendors and redistributed unmodified under LineageOS device-tree manifests.
2. Hardware Flashing Disclaimer
Installing custom operating systems, unlocking bootloaders, and flashing custom recovery environments involves inherent technical risks. Cyronix OS is provided "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, either expressed or implied. Cyronix Dev & Security shall not be liable for device bricks, data loss, or hardware failures resulting from flashing operations.
3. Trademark Notices
Android is a registered trademark of Google LLC. Cyronix OS is developed independently and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Google LLC. OnePlus is a registered trademark of OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. References to device names are strictly nominative fair use for hardware compatibility identification.
